Mineral sands exploitation of Djaa and Yoo rivers around the town of Akonolinga in Cameroon
year of achievement: 2021
In November 2019, the company Eramet obtained the exploration permit on the rutile concessions around the city of Akonolinga in Cameroon. Eramet launched an exploration campaign to identify and confirm the presence of exploitable rutile deposits within these concessions. Following this campaign, Eramet commissioned Mecater Engineering to develop a conceptual design of mineral sands extraction from Djaa and Yoo rivers.
